Breast uplift or mastopexy is a surgical procedure where excess skin is removed to raise, reshape and firm sagging breasts (of any size) resulting in a shapely, younger looking breast contour. Sagging breasts occur in most women after pregnancy, breast feeding, weight loss or due to the natural ageing process, which can cause embarrassment & a lack of self confidence. Mastopexy can also reduce the size of the darker skin surrounding the nipple, known as the areola. Some women opt for an implant in conjunction with a breast lift to increase firmness and size.
